URGENT NEED in the PENINSULA

Dear InnVision Supporter,

Thank you for your past support of InnVision Midpeninsula Programs. This year we are experiencing a serious decline in revenues while thousands more come to our doors during these uncertain times. InnVision must raise at least $500,000 by December 31 or close down some Palo Alto/Menlo Park programs in January. We have reduced expenses and leveraged revenues through our partnerships, but the shortfall continues.

InnVision serves 20,000 clients in Silicon Valley. Here in your backyard, we provide shelter and support services through our Urban Ministry programs - Hotel de Zink, the Food Closet and Breaking Bread Hot Meals. We also operate the Opportunity Center service programs, the Clara-Mateo Alliance shelter and the North County Inns supportive housing units. These local programs serve 3,000 people each year in your community, providing not only basic needs, but also many more resources to help individuals and families rebuild their lives. Critical shelter and support programs including counseling, job assistance, healthcare and children’s activities are all in jeopardy of being suspended this winter.

Your community came together so nobly and generously, to build the Opportunity Center in 2006…but ongoing support for the services provided at this center and other Midpeninsula locations has not materialized as hoped. Now we are coming to you to ask for an immediate contribution and pledge for future support to ensure that shelter and counseling will be available to all in need.

Christine Burroughs/InnVision CEO
John Barton/Community Working Group Board President

Each year InnVision programs serve 20,000 homeless individuals and families at 20 locations with emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing and supportive programs.
